Polytonality and Impressionist Orchestration

Inevitably, the things in my current repertoire influence my current writing. So I’m in the middle of writing for a Nina Simone project while studying Prokofiev’s Five Melodies and Debussy’s sonata for violin and piano. This should be a good month.
